Hunting
Only ethical walk and stalk hunting is permitted. Please note that we also cater for
handgun and black powder hunting. We also cater for wing shooting of doves, guinea fowl, geese, graywing and quail in season.
The Eastern Cape is the second biggest and most diverse province in South Africa and stretches from the Tsitsikamma Forest to Aliwal North. The terrain varies from thick Bushveld to Savannah and from high mountains to arid Karoo. The Fauna and Flora as well as the bird life make it perfect for bird watching, hiking and photo safaris.
The hunting area stretches over 150000 acres, from the Koonap River Valley at 1500ft above sea level, to the Winterberg at 7500ft above sea level. There is access to a private landing strip near Fort Beaufort. It's a comfortable two and a half hour drive from the Port Elizabeth Airport or 90 minute drive from East London Airport.

My wife and I hunted with Tinus at East Cape Plains Safaris in June of 2017. We had a wonderful safari taking some exceptional trophies and enjoying the best food I’ve ever had in several trips to Africa. Tinus has unlimited hunting access in the East Cape for all species. The accommodations make you feel like your at a real hunting camp. Bushpig, Lechwe and Oribi were my most sought after trophies and I was successful with all. I also lucked into a monster kudu and an old Eland bull. My wife took a beautiful Nyala and Zebra. You will not be disappointed, a great hunting camp with super nice people.

My wife and I hunted with Tinus in August of 2017. It was a superb hunt!! The properties we hunted were huge, and we had ample opportunity to harvest many different species. The accommodations were beautiful, and the meals fantastic! We were able to shoot everything on our list, and then some. I can't say enough about our guide, and his knowledge and expertise. This was such an enjoyable hunt! We hope to return soon for another hunt with Tinus.
