Accommodation


East Cape Plains Game Safaris takes pride in its excellent accommodation. The hunting camp is fully catered for and accessible to disabled hunters.

The hunting camp is served by a central dining area with a braai(barbeque) and a large bar.

Roaming free around the hunting camp is a selection of hand reared, semi-tame game. This makes for a relaxing and true African atmosphere.

  • The Main Lodge, accommodating four people.
  • The Cat Suite, accommodating a couple or a single person.
  • The Zebra Suite, accommodating a couple or a single person.
  • The Warthog Hole, accommodating four people.
  • The Mpofu Lodge, accommodating 10 people. (4 en-suite bedrooms)

Other services that are available are, transport by vehicle in the hunting area, services of several professional hunters, trackers and skinners. Cold room facilities, personal meat processing and a laundry is also available. Sightseeing and other activities can be arranged for your companions while you enjoy your hunting experience.

Arrangements must be made well in advance.





General Info


Your Safari includes the following:

Professional hunter with his vehicle.
Trackers and skinners.
Hunting permits.
Field preparation of trophies.
Delivery to the taxidermist.
Airport transfers to/from Port Elizabeth or East London.
Accommodation.
Laundry services.
All meals and drinks.
Full wi-fi internet access, which is available to all guests, free of charge.




Firearms & Ammunition:

If you decide to bring your own firearms you will need to download and complete the SAP520 form from the link below.

Excluded items from your Safari:

Air fares and any costs incurred before or after pickup and departure.
Dipping and packing.
Mounting, Shipping of trophies.
Gratuities & personal expenses.
Rifle hire. Ammunition used.


Terms of Business:

All prices are quotes in USD.
$1500 deposit per hunter to book your dates.
Balance payable before departure from the hunting lodge.
Payments accepted in cash, by travelers cheque or electronic transfer.
Hunts cancelled 90 days before commencement can carry the deposit over for the next year, or available date agreed upon by outfitter and hunter.
No refunds will be given.





What to bring with on your Safari:

Warm jacket as it gets cold in the mornings and evenings
Cap or hat for the sun
Daily laundry will be done, three sets of hunting clothing is adequate
Camo hunting clothing or olive, dark brown, green colors
Flashlight/headlamp and spare batteries
Calibers – 270Win, 30-06Sprg, 300Win mag, 7mm Rem Mag for plainsgame – minimum 60 good quality softs
Calibers – 375H&H or Larger for DG – 40 Good quality softs, 20 Solids
Barnes Triple Shock, Nosler Partition, Nosler Accubond, Federal Premium or equivalent
Bullet pouch for belt
Comfortable Hunting shoes/boots
Binoculars 8×42 or 10×42
Rain jacket
Camera equipment
Chargers/adaptors/converters for your 110V equipment (220V in SA)
Chap Stick (Lip Ice), antacid, moisturiser, anti-histamine
No Malaria or Ebola in our area
Block-out for the sun
Chewing Tobacco if you use it (not available in SA)
